I LOVE my genny. I've used it many times to charge up my AGM batteries and fire up hot water system in my MH. She starts first pull Every time and purrs on low load. The revs speed up when heating the HW system but I don't use this very often, so the noise factor is no biggie.

DOING THE JOB HASSLE FREE! Review by Michael McKee

Started on first pull, runs the aircon and hot water and all lights etc. Initially ran for 10 minutes and then gradually put accessories on it did stop when switched hot water on but realised that it was on economy. Switched to full and everything ran smoothly and later put on to economy and no problem.

We bought this generator for our caravan, after adding oil and fuel it started on the 3rd or fourth pull. Very quite when its not under load however it was noisier then expected when under load. We ran our Dometic Harrier AC, microwave, toaster and kettle okay, only one appliance at a time. Overall very happy with the Generator does what we wanted it for.

Previous Generator died so I needed a new one. I was looking at getting a Honda, then saw these Cromtech. After reading a lot of reviews and doing a bit of research I decided to purchase. After all, it's half the price and slightly bigger in capacity. My order arrived faster than was stated and in good condition. Filled up the oil, put in some petrol and first pull it stated! Very impressed. These generators are light weight, quiet and do exactly what they're supposed to. Quality of finish is quite good too. We live one the road in our 5th wheel caravan and don't need a gennie very often so I would expect a long life from this generator. Would recommend one to others.

After researching many generators, this one came up as the best value for money. My main criteria were, noise, cost and continuous power output. The Cromtech 2400 starts easily and is surprisingly quiet. I tested the auto throttle with the different settings on a hair dryer and the generator rpm increased nicely as the power requirement increased. I do not intend to use it consistently over long periods of time so expect longevity will not be a problem. Main use will be for emergency backup and charging batteries on caravan. The noise level whilst charging batteries is very low and would not bother anyone in the vicinity. Best value for money by far.

Put the oil in and a little bit of fuel (98 RON) set the choke and it started first pull. Very easy. Put it on load to a heater and it supplied the demand no problem. However, it was a bit nosier than I expected (due to their marketing) but it was running in my workshop. However, my other (slightly smaller) generator was noticeably quieter in the same location . Maybe it needs to be "run-in".

Purchased this generator after several power outages in my area and needed for emergency back up. Have only used once so far but ran smoothly and quietly throughout the day powering home essentials fridge, power to electronic devices etc. Used about 2.5 litres of fuel over 7 hours. Happy so far but proof will be over longer term use.

I looked at them all, Honda's, Yamaha's, kings etc etc, I settled on this one for a few reasons, Cromwell"s have been around for a long time, the amount I'll actually use it versus cost versus size, weight etc, I've had it for about 2mths and used it only twice, both time's - awesome. It's quiet enough to be able to have a conversation within 2metres of it, it starts 1st time, it's not too heavy, For 2400 watts, it's finished nicely, easy to use, can't wait to use it camping/4 wheel driving. sweet.

The generator starts after a couple of pulls on the recoil. Is really under load running the air con in my caravan and once the fridge is engaged the generator is screaming it’s guts out, I guess the fridge can run on gas. Now we’ll see how it stands the test of time as it won’t get a great deal of use but will be started regularly.

I ordered the Cromtech 2400 as a backup power source so I haven’t really given it a good run yet but it was easy to set up. What I liked was that the footprint and the weight was small for a 2.4KW generator. It took a while for the generator to arrive, 2 weeks but in all fairness there are difficulties with all imported products due to the pandemic.

Bought the Chromtech 2400 as a second hand unit from a mate, who originally bought it to overcome an power blackout problem he encountered while working on the tools just out of Brisbane, and he no other alternative to buy this 2400 chromtech, so when he said he was going to offload it and at the price of $600 dollars, and being an avid camper I jumped at it and him and didn't let him get away, so in summary although being second hand it has not missed a beat and now it's over two years old and run s like a purring kitten, performs all; that I could wish for, runs my 60 litre fridge, 2 CPAP machines and when needed the toaster, and kettle,plus lights, just make sure I don't overload it with all at the same time, but in my words it's a little ripper.

Excellent unit, looks very well put together, put some oil & petrol in and 2nd pull away she went ticking over like a two bob watch. Hooked it up the the caravan and started the air con (Ibis 4) hardly murmured, turned the fridge on as well and the revs picked up a bit, but still quietly ticking over. Thought I'd test it and turned the hot water system on as well. That made it run flat out but I left all three going for about 10 minutes and no problem. Very good to know. I turned everything off and then tried the electric kettle (1850 -2200 watts on the label) It loaded the generator up but it boiled the kettle no problems. Looking forward to using it in future. Very happy so far.

Product arrived in quick time, sooner than I expected. After reading the manual and instructions I added fuel and oil, gave it two gentle half pulls and then a gentle full pull and it started very easily and continues to start in the same manner. I have now been away for 7 days and have used it each day. I use it mainly to charge up my caravan battery and whilst that is charging I can run my Ac on heat cycle, microwave and charge my phones and tablets. I asked my neighbor in our free camp if he minded me running my generator and he said that he had left his genie at home so I offered to let him hook onto mine and we charged both batteries while we enjoyed the fire and a drink. He agreed it was a great value generator.

Purchased Generator for running my caravans ibis 3 air con while free camping in the warmer months. I have used it once so far over a weekend a worked faultlessly. Kept the caravan super cool while camping on the Murrumbidgee river. Noise level was fine under load (way quieter than my friends kings generator running beside mine). I went for a cheaper brand generator as It will be only used around 5 times a year. As I have a EU10 to charge batteries if needed and use a diesel heater in the colder months. An other selling point was even though it is a Chinese gene we have a Crommelins service agent in town. Very happy with my purchase.

The unit arrived within 3 days of ordering.The online ordering system was so easy to follow. On arrival I followed the instructions and the unit started on the first pull of the cord.The product was so good I have since purchased a Waco refrigerator and roof top air conditioner. Great company to deal with with prompt service.

Delivered extremely promptly. Small technical issue, but the service department sorted that out whilst I waited. I have hooked up lights, TV and a fan heater so far, and it hasn't missed a beat. It appears to be a very capable generator with excellent local back-up.

This generator is great. We were on our maiden trip last week end at a free camp, we had all the comforts of home in our van, hot water, lighting and fridges all running and our quiet generator just purring away in the back ground, we were quite surprised how quiet it was and great fuel consumption as well, we think we have made a really good choice .

Very Happy with the Cromtech. Excellent online experience from purchase to delivery. Great looking product simple instructions easy to use. Fill it with oil and some fuel and started first go. Tried my car polisher 1200 watt powered it easily. Tested on my RV and will run my air conditioner that draws 6.0 amps (1440 watts) very happy. This unit will be fully tested at the Big Red Bash in Birdsville this July.

Unbelievable!Plugged our Jurgens Lunagazer into it and it easily runs the Sparrow air conditioning whilst also running the fridge,and battery charger.It also runs our Aldi coffee machine and the toaster separately.It’s pretty quite but you will still need to be respectful of your fellow campers.Did a lot of research on this size generator and apart from the price, the Cromtech service network was the deal clincher for me.

Good quality generator that does everything required when we need it . Great to take away in the van as it only weighs 20kg ! Looked at all brands of generators but the Cromtec had good specs compared to all the others and even though there were cheaper you couldn't go past the quality of the yellow !!!

The price was too good to pass up, and why would you go past the Cromtech with all the positive reviews anyway. Since it was delivered I have filled the oil and petrol tanks, given it a trial run, first powering the caravan air conditioner then the fridge (at the same time). The Cromtech handled the tasks easily and quietly, confirming my confidence in it's performance. I look forward to using my Genny and the benefits it will provide for us as we travel. We ordered our new “My Generator” recently in anticipation of the bad weather that was ominously forecast for northern NSW. Luckily, we were well prepared, as there were monstrous winds, trees down everywhere and the power dropped out for several hours. Not in our house though, thanks to the compact and easy to use “My generator” we had power on hand straight away. And also, I’d like to add it was first pull start and extremely quiet whilst in operation so as not to offend our neighbors- or to make them jealous!!
