Why We Like The Marmot GORE-TEX Lightray Jacket
When we are out slashing through the snow, the Marmot Lightray Jacket is always a quality choice for protection and comfort on the mountain. Made with a 2-layer GORE-TEX fabric and finished off with PrimaLoft Black synthetic insulation, the Lightray Jacket is warm, comfortable, and protects us from wet snow. Zippered underarm vents allow us to release heat when we are getting too hot, and multiple water-resistant pockets allow us to hold all of our essentials close to our body and keep them protected. The helmet-compatible hood is adjustable so we can cinch it up to keep our the cold drafts and a fixed powder skirt and an adjustable hem ensure no snow gets underneath our jacket when we take a spill. Finally, an integrated RECCO reflector allows rescues to find us easier in the event of an avalanche.

Great ski jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really happy with this jacket. I finally replaced my old ski shell, which was no longer waterproof. The insulation layer on the Lightray is just warm enough that I can forgo a sweater layer (just thermals), and the pit zippers allow me to dump heat on a warm day. And I love all of the pockets. I used to ski or snow hike with a back or fanny back, but I can fit everything I need in the six pockets in this jacket. As long as it holds up for as long as my old one (15 years or so), it will be a huge win.

Love it so far . . .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the jacket 2-3 times and I love it. It is surprisingly light weight but kept me warm in temperatures between 10-20F.
