A seed bank for regional restoration at the Holden Arboretum is working to combat climate change by collecting, storing, and redistributing native seeds of local ecotype to foster resilient forests.

Our work has helped identify the means of the disease’s spread, and continuing work aims to reveal the mechanisms of the disease as well as a path to breeding trees resistant to the disease.
