Life and Death
Our newest collection is "Life and Death." It's one of our more conceptual themes and is meant to explore dichotomies and cycles. The idea was to create pairs of necklaces that represent opposites, linked together like two sides from the same coin. When my sister and I visited The Met last summer, we were inspired by the Karl Lagerfeld show "A Line of Beauty" which focused on the dualities in the designer's work. The show opened with the snake and the arrow as opposing concepts. The snake represents the organic, free flowing lines while the arrow is about minimalism and machine-made construction. As I developed the pieces, I also included a homage to Chanel and the iconic black bow and pearls. We had already picked the theme "Life and Death" but that show helped crystalize the idea. We hope you enjoy our pairings and the play between the shapes.
