I have 2 different Springbar Tents and I purchased Springbar’s Ground Tarps for both of them. The fit for the footprint of the tent makes a huge difference in a rain storm. Highly recommend!
Would recommend this as the ultimate car camping tent. With two people our whole setup fits inside, with room for friends. Get some long lag bolts, washers and an impact driver and set up is a breeze, pair that with some moving blankets for carpet and cleaning the floor takes no time at all. Withstood high winds (50mph+) the first day we got it and set outside to season, and was bone dry inside during thunderstorms on our first trip. I always make sure to guy it out to keep it sturdy. If you're on the fence, the price is well worth a tent that's going to last decades to come, just make sure to give it a little TLC and store it dry. Absolute game changer! Next step is to shop for the stove set when fall comes.
I’m beyond satisfied with my Highline 6. I am using it full time and it is making my camping experience so much better!
I love tents, always have. From back yard camp outs as a kid growing up in Northern Minnesota to multi day backpacking trips in the north cascades where I now live. For years I wanted to add a canvas wall tent to my collection of tents. I had always thought that I would end up with a classic A-frame style wall tent. After months of shopping for the perfect canvas tent I came across the video of Jack Kirkham showing off his skyliner tent and I knew I had found my new tent. The thoughtful design, attention to detail and fine craftsmanship made right here in the United States is second to none. My new tent truly brings me joy! Thank you springbar!
Just camped in Big Sur with our new tent! I managed to put it up in about 0 minutes by myself. Love the size, the feel of the canvas and the look is so classic. Big purchase but worth it!
I purchased my Skyliner as an all purpose camping/hunting tent. I was hoping the tent would be able to stay as cool as possible for warmer weather camping as I know it will handle the cold and harsh weather just fine. My first trip was late May and in the Sierra-Nevada mountains with camp sitting just below 7,000 feet. The temperature swing was from 73 to 38 degrees. I was very happy with the ventilation in this tent. Even when it warmed up, I was able to open all the windows and inside the tent was able to cool down. The key is, this tent has big back windows, a good sized side window, and big screen doors to help get the circulation needed. As far as the lower temperature early in the morning, it was no problem this trip. I just ran a Buddy heater in the morning to warm the tent for my girlfriend and it was plenty. Overall this is a well built tent. I believe the Skyliner model will last a lifetime if taken care of appropriately. And yes, the quality and craftsmanship is everything Springbar claims!
I have to start by saying the customer service with Springbar is second to none. I had a slight issue when I first received my package and they very fast to correct it. They answer the phone and when I email they are quick to respond. The quality of materials and craftsmanship that goes into this tent is unbelievable. Setup, takes about 20 min by myself. It’s the perfect size for me and my 10 year old son. ( probably enough room for a couple friends) I thought this tent would probably be hot living in Florida but went camping this weekend in 93 degree heat and this tent was way cooler than my old dome tent. I'm going to order the portico panels soon, alone with another heavy duty ground tarp for the inside to protect the floor. I would totally buy this tent again and would recommend buying USA.
Thanks Springbar!
This is not one of those brown/silver tarps from the big box store., this thing is heavy duty! I love how quiet the material is, and fully waterproof. I used it this past weekend under my Traveler and I have decided to order another one for inside floor protection. I recommend this product!
When I bought my new tent. I had to buy the ground tarp. It matched the footprint of the tent perfect. It comes in a nice stuff sack to roll up nice and store with the tent. Or roll the tent up with the ground tarp. it's large enough to go with the super nice zipper stuff sack the classic jack 100 comes with. Next will be the rain fly to keep the sun and elements off. So really can't go wrong..nice we'll stitched heavyduty fabric that can be cleaned and re used as much as the tent. Last you Years of rugged use if you take care of it. As my dad's tent ⛺️ had over 20 years of cold weather hunts and camping here in Utah backcountry. From the desert 🏜 to the mountains ⛰️. Springbar tents have seen it all. 😀
So far I've enjoyed the "Family Camper"
It's provided comfort and a peace of mind. It's been a great addition to my purpose for use.
Works great, a place to keep the stakes together and prevent them from poking holes in my carry bag.
