from 2483 reviewsI really like this pattern. I used it as a basic pattern for a Safari-hacket.
I’m a big fan of your patterns this is the second one I’ve bought. It seems like your pattern makers spend a lot of time working on fit because the sizes are accurate and everything looks great on. Also instructions are easy to follow. I appreciate that immensely!
I have just finished the men's Tunic for my husband. I adapted the pattern to make a pyjama top. I omitted the buttons and buttonholes after shortening the placket. It looks nice on him. He has still to wear it. The video was very helpful. I think I will make another in linen. Very pleased.
My first men's shirt which was so lovely easy with the accompanying video as help. I will sew many more for both the son and the husband.
From Denmark 🇩🇰 🤗
Nice pattern for a nice jacket. Being on the tall side I lengthened the body parts by about 25mm. I then looked at the sleeves and had to reduct their girth at the cuff as I only had skinny arms. Fit was great. The steps on the written instructions worked really well although I'm not sure a total beginner would have great success with this garment. Overall very pleased. I used a cotton/elastane fabric which had a bit of stretch in it.
Good instructions and the sew along YouTube video made the sewing of the jacket a breeze. Jacket fitted well. Only alteration I made was to shorten the sleeves by 2”.
For some reason I’d overlooked this pattern until I made the kids Zipper Jacket and realised the strip on the sleeves of that, could be echoed on the trouser legs of this pattern. In other words a custom made tracksuit!
So two days later, a test tracksuit is almost finished. Fabulous pattern: beautiful fit - clear instructions: nice size pockets - 100% recommended for your child or grandchild.
I’m really happy with this pattern: downloaded yesterday and only have the zip to insert now. I’ve made exactly the version in the main photograph for the pattern: so a contrast strip up the sleeves and the under collar: grey main parts: black ribbing cuffs and bottom and black zip. It’s so successful I’ve bought the jogging trouser pattern and my granddaughter will have a great tracksuit - the same contrast strip will go down the trouser legs.
Love it.
I'm in the middle of sewing this top and so far the process is very easy. I can't wait to finish it so I can show it off to my friends.
I absolutely love this pattern, I made both a shirt and a dress and I love them both. They are perfect for breastfeeding my baby in, but still having a modest neckline without having to wear a lot of layers. I think this might be my new favorite pattern ❤️
This was the second pattern I downloaded form WBM and was so easy to follow. The shirt, made for my grandson, came out brilliantly and was a real pleasure to follow both the written instrucitons and the video tutorial. Learnt a lot about bagging out and collars. Recommended.
So many pj pants pants I looked at had very wide legs. These are the best and only one pattern piece.
I have just made a Piper Tunic for a friend. I made View C although I changed the neck line to a Vee neck and added a flounce to 3/4 sleeves. I will be making one for myself shortly. It’s a very easy pattern to make up with great instructions.
I bought the polo pattern not intending at this stage to make a traditional jersey polo shirt. I wanted to make a more typical short-sleeved shirt in a woven cotton fabric with a polo placket. With some encouragement I combined pattern pieces from the Tropical Shirt including the yoke, with the placket and collar from the polo. I also extended the placket and sewed it on with the right on outside and left inside the shirt. In my mock up the sleeves were a little short so I took the Jensen Shirt sleeve and copied the top from the Tropical Shirt sleeve to fit the armscye. All in all the experiment was a success!
I am a beginner when it comes to pattern editing/creating but I found with a bit of care and thought it is rewarding, and easy to mix and match with wardrobe by me's patterns.
Comes together beautifully.
