What's In Season?
Spring Veggies are coming back into stock. Some tomatoes are available, as well as cucumbers, and a few squash and peppers. Look for more tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and squash in 1-3 weeks.
FEATURED VARIETIES
Cheddar Cauliflower
Brilliant orange cauliflower. Cauliflowers are now available in purple, green, white, and orange.
Puntoverde Cauliflower
A green variety of cauliflower. Intricate shape. Large plant, nearly 80 days to maturity.
Cauliflower
Snow Crown Cauliflower grows best in cooler weather. It may produce one head or several small heads over several months; the leaves are also edible. They are hearty, similar to a collard green, and may be sauteed or even baked. Start in late summer to produce in fall.

Cilantro - Calypso
Excellent flavor and value, may be trimmed many times. Best in slightly cooler climates, will bolt more quickly in extreme heat. Seeds will form after the flowers and may be dried. Cilantro seeds are the spice coriander.
Racer Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin
These take about three months to produce. Large plants, so give them plenty of space to spread out, ideally in full sun.
New England Pumpkin Pie
Excellent for making that Thanksgiving staple. Large plants that do best in full sun. Allow at least 3 months till fruit.
Sunland Romaine
New Romaine, great for leaves and romaine hearts. Wonderful for year-round growing!
Celery
Kelvin (New Variety)
Wonderfully delicious, upright growth habit. Will reach nearly 18" if given time. Pick from the outside to continue production center.

Large leaves, able to grown year round. A cross between green leaf and romaine, this is an absolute winner. Creates a dense head, which will regrow when cut back above the heart. Good size, great flavor. This round tomato will vine rather than bush. Produces relatively early.

Yellow Brandywine Organic Tomato
An orange heirloom with rich flavor.
An orange version of Brandywine. The fruits are larger than Valencia. This potato-leaved variety can be finicky to grow, with roughly shaped fruit one year and smooth the next. Indeterminate. Organically grown
Pink Berkeley Tie Dye
Distinctly colored, medium-sized fruits, does not vine particularly far. Fantastic tomato.
Big Beef
AAS Winner with 10-12 oz fruits, this tomato is highly disease resistant. Tremendous flavor, great for slicing.

Valencia - Medium Tomato
Beautiful tomato, with excellent flavor and texture. Similar in size to New Girl, as a medium-sized tomato.
Black Krim
Russian Heirloom Beefsteak tomato. 8-16 ounce tomatoes produced on indeterminate plants. 2.5 months to production. Organically grown.

Miscellaneous Tomatoes
At the end/beginning of the season, the remaining tomatoes will be organized into a large group, a mix of all tomatoes. These will be large seedlings, usually over 6" tall, and sturdy. They will be a mix of cherry, roma, and beefsteak tomatoes. One will randomly be chosen.
Cherokee Purple Heirloom Tomato
8-12 ounce fruits. Absolutely delicious flavor. Shorter vines than most tomatoes, though still indeterminate. 72 days to fruit.
Green Zebra Organic Tomato
Great slicing tomato. Small in size, tangy. Very productive.
Black Cherry

Spring/Summer Veggies
Eggplant - Nadia
Small-medium sized fruit on a plant which produces abundantly. Gorgeous purple flowers and fruits. A small bushing plant, only about 2-3 feet tall.
Tomatillo
Vigorous as can be. 3-4' tall, 3-4' wide, tiny beautiful yellow flowers with purple. Plant develops husk which fills as fruit grows. Capable of producing hundreds of tomatillos on one plant. Excellent for homemade salsas.
Lemon Cucumber
Tiny, yellow, about the the size of a lemon, wonderful either raw or pickled. Definitely worth a try!
Cucumber - Striped Armenian
Striped Armenian
A personal favorite. Different than traditional cucumbers in shape, yet has outstanding flavor which it doesn't lose if it becomes overgrown. Often curls and will grow well over 1' long. A must-try.
Sugar Baby Watermelon
Personal size watermelon, will vine around 10 feet.
Best to put near the bottom of the tower.

Eggplant - Orient Express
More bountiful than our Italian variety. This Japanese eggplant is slower to start, and produces long, slender, purple fruit. A staple throughout the Spring and Summer.

Cauliflower

Snow Pea - Oregon Giant
Quick start, peas begin shoeing in less than two months. Pea and pods are edible, the pod itself is slightly sweet. Wil naturally climb if given the opportunity.

Larger than Spring Raab broccoli, smaller than Belstar broccoli. 45 days, fairly long harvest period. Will produce secondary heads. Leaves are also edible.

Brussels Sprouts - Gladius

Sugar Sprint Snap Pea
A wonderful treat, these peas prefer a shady spot in the summertime, and really thrive in the cool weather of fall/winter.

Soybean, or edamame. This plant reaches about 2-3 feet tall. Does best in cooler weather, from 50 to mid-70s. Produces well.

Kohlrabi
Quick to grow, 1.5 months! Beautiful specimen. As the bulb grows, gently pull the plant slightly out of the tower so the bulb forms outside. This is similar to celery, fennel, and beets.
Kale
Toscano "Italian Heirloom" Kale
Italian heirloom kale, also known as lacinato, dinosaur, or blue kale. This is the second most tender kale we grow, only to Red Russian kale. Grows well year-round.
An excellent candidate for the microgreens sections of the Tower Garden. Leave 2-3" when harvesting and enjoy multiple cuttings.
Red Russian Kale
Widely-lobed leaves, which change from red to green as the plant matures. The red comes from the stalk. Ready for harvest in two weeks, will grow for months.
Excellent for microgreens, leave 2-3" when harvesting and watch it regrow.
Scarlet Kale
Delicious, slower growing than green kales, but well worth it! The sweetest of all our kales with beautiful, deep purple leaves. Prefers the cooler weather of fall through early spring.
Winterbor Kale
Typical highly-curled kale, tasty, perfect for the cool weather of the fall and winter. Like most kales, this will thrive for months at a time, simply pick the outside leaves and the stalks will continue to produce from the middle.
Lettuce
Green Star Lettuce
A personal favorite! Sweet and flavorful, produces footlong leaves in a large, loose head. Leaves are wavy at the end, yet crisp throughout. Perfect for salad or lettuce wraps.

Crispino
Head will forms within 1-2 months. Best to cut entire head once formed. Crisp flavor, sweet, best in slightly cooler weather, though it can withstand the warmer temperatures of spring and early summer.
Salanova® Red Butter
Beautiful rosette of deeply red lettuce. Will continue to yield if picked from the outside. Soft texture, perfect to mix with a crunchy counterpart, such as romaine or green star.
Allstar Lettuce Mix
New Red Fire
Sprouts quickly for a red lettuce, which usually take longer than their green counterparts. Beautiful specimen, great to add vibrant red to a salad. An updated version of the previously grown Red Fire.
Cegolaine - Bibb Lettuce
Striking display, a mixture of red and green hues, forms well rounded heads, ready in 4-5 weeks.
Note: Head lettuce, will regrow if cut high enough, be will produce viable leaves for several months if harvested leaf by leaf from the outside, allowing new leaves from the center.

Leafy Greens
Spinach - Space
Excellent for trimming and regrowing. Better adapted to spring and summer heat, though afternoon shade will help to extend its lifespan. Grows well in cool weather. Excellent as baby spinach or full sized spinach.

Beet Greens - Early Wonder Tall Top
Fast growing, packed with flavor, grown for the leaves, though it will produce a relatively small beet, as well. Leaves will be available to harvest in three weeks and will produce for several months.
In a tower garden, it is best to place at the top to make removal easiest if the roots become too large. Simply remove the shower cap and the net pot can be dislodged.
Swiss Chard Bright Lights Rainbow Chard
Slightly bitter leaves, savory stems, always gorgeous. Terrific for cooking or eating raw. Use in salads, stir fry, wraps, etc.
Premium Greens Mix
A splendid array of greens: choi, mustard, and cabbage. Quick growing, a perfect choice for getting a lot from a small space.
Collard Greens
Flash
Large leaves, tender when young, heartier after several months. Collard greens can survive many months, even under poor conditions. Pick consistently for a very high yielding crop. May be grown year round.
Joi Choi
Fast-paced growth, thick stalks, densely packed. Terrific for leaf harvest, the large leaves and stalks have unique flavor. Add to salad or stir fry.
Italian Dandelion
Ultra quick green, large leaves, very flavorful. Cut and re-cut several times.
Red Veined Sorrel - Lemon Flavored Green
A more stunning version of sorrel, lemony, slightly tart. Leaves can reach 6-8", but are perfect as pictured. Lovely add-on to salad.

Common Sage
Common Sage
Dusty, green leaves are used in dressing, sauces, salted herbs, sausage, and tea. Make a good base for dried floral wreaths. Also known as garden sage. Perennial in Zones 4-8.
• Edible Flowers: Edible, lovely, small lavender flowers appear in early summer with a mild and sage-like flavor. Flower spikes can be battered and fried, cooked in rice, egg, or cheese dishes, or used to garnish salads and pizza.
Thyme
Excellent flavor, widely used seasoning. Decent growth rate compared with most herbs, which are typically slow.
Fennel
A colossal winner, this fennel grows quickly and will be around for months. The bulb may be picked from the outside, continuing to form from the middle. A natural licorice flavor, used for both frill and bulb.
Curly Parsley
Will grow up to 12" and may be cut back to regrow several times. Distinctly curled leaves, striking. An outstanding addition.

Terrific flavor, a large plant with longevity. Best to trim and allow to regrow.
