from 724 reviewsWe received the set power but haven’t used it yet we are looking forward to using it later this summer we were impressed with the 2 units we had seen so we made the decision to get one. We needed something to use as we only have an ice box in our vintage trailer. We are looking forward to having it work for our needs
Five stars. I bought my PT55, 58 quart fridge in November 2023. Been using the fridge for six months now. Nice not having to buy ice anymore. SetPower needs to offer baskets for the two compartments. Having baskets would make using this fridge/freezer that much better. I think it would be a nice selling feature. I'm very happy with this product. Everything works as described. Thank you SetPower.
I used this extensively during a weekend campout, power was supplied with 100ah battery and 200 watts of solar. Very impressed and very satisfied. Full review coming soon on my YouTube channel and would recommend this product to anyone.
We have not a chance to test out. Hopefully he will be surprised on Father's Day. We will be using during our camping trip
12V Car Cigarette Lighter for all Setpower Fridge Freezer
seems to work very well
This mobile refrigerator works exactly like we wanted it to. It runs with no problems off of 2018 F150 cigar lighter all day and on AC in the motel all night. We didn't have to purchase any other devices to get the results we wanted. Very satisfied with our purchase.
This works in my Tesla model y sub trunk. I leave it on all the time. 24/7. Hoping it won’t
Overheat in the heat of the summer. Thinking about ventilation options for sub trunk just in case. Sentry mode must be on for it to power all the time. Sentry mode turns off at 50 miles or less (I think it’s 50) of the ev battery, so just have keep that in mind. Having cool drink anytime and preserved sandwiches anytime is a game changer.
After much research I went with setpowerusa. It has performed above what I expected especially for the low budget frig. I have no regrets and would recommend setpowerusa without hesitation.
I am converting a Subaru Forrester for camping and have very little space but I wanted the dual function and it fits perfectly right where I want it. I haven’t gone camping with it yet but so far it’s great.
I took the fridge on a 5 day trip. Perfect
I’ve had the MC20 for almost a week. So far it has worked perfectly. I used it inside the house for a couple of days at 26*F. It was packed with several water bottles, sports drinks and beer cans. Using a digital thermometer, it showed it maintaining that temp easily.
On Friday evening, I placed the MC20 in the trunk of my car with a digital thermometer inside the fridge and one inside the trunk. I had it set to the same 26*F. It had the same contents as when tested inside the house. It maintained that temp throughout the weekend.
Inside the trunk, I powered it with a new 100ah LifePO4 battery. The battery lasted from Friday evening to Monday afternoon. At this point in time, the battery was down to about 2% or so.
In 2022 I bought the RV45D-Pro fridge to make trips (over 1 hour) each way to go grocery shopping (at least 65 miles away). I plug this fridge into my solar functional generator, which I power with my 120 watt solar panel. Last March I was offered the opportunity to buy this. Initially I decided to NOT buy this. But after thinking it over I decided I could use this as a backup to my solar functional generator. When I got this, I charged it up by AC. Then I hooked up to my EMPTY RV45D-Pro and ran it. The temperature was set to 35 deg F. It ran till it was 0% full. It took 15 hours and 17 minutes. Then I decided to charge it up by AC. This took 3 hours and 10 minutes to
completely charge by AC.
Then I made my first grocery shopping run. The PG216wH went from 100% full down to 49% full.
Then I made my 2nd grocery shopping run. The unit went from 49% full down to 35% full.
I then decided to completely discharge the unit.
I then decided to charge by way of my 120 watt solar panel. This took 4 hours and 52 minutes. However the unit
was only 99% full. I could not get it to reach 100%. I then hooked it up to AC, to finish it off ("topping it off"). I still could not get it to 100% full. I should point out that charging by way of solar, generally speaking, it would charge up 1% every 3 minutes.
Personally I definitely would buy this again.
This unit fit my needs for overlanding and so far it works great. Now for a few accessories
