What’s the Difference Between LDN and regular Naltrexone?
Naltrexone (high dose, 50 - 100 mg daily) is FDA approved for reducing opiate and alcohol addictions. However, as in many cases - less is often more. High dose naltrexone is not effective for treating the wide range of conditions which are helped specifically by Low Dose Naltrexone. Only the low dose of naltrexone, by staying in the body for a very short time, allows the normalization of endorphin production and immune function. These benefits however are neutralized by high dose naltrexone.
