TASTING NOTES: “Vivid ripe red berry aromatics burst on the nose as traces of white flowers and sarsaparilla add complexity. A full, rich entry reveals blackberry mingled with raspberry and pomegranate. Bright acidity bathes the palate balancing the juicy fruit essence, while toasty oak and hints of black pepper, brown spices and floral notes add interest and depth. The lush intense flavors fuse near the finish as the wine lingers.” (AbV 14.1%, pH 3.42, TA 0.65g/100mL)

THAT REMINDS ME OF: Skool Daze for the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64.

Released in 1984, Skool Daze is an “action-adventure” game where you play as Eric, attending a boys’ boarding school and trying to retrieve his report card from a safe. This objective is not made very clear while playing. In the game, you can shoot a slingshot, punch, jump, sit at desks, and write on the chalkboards. You’re supposed to go around the school activating these shield symbols by punching or slingshotting them, then go back through and deactivate them after retrieving your report card. Meanwhile, you’re expected to attend classes/go to the appropriate places when prompted. If a teacher catches you doing something or in the wrong location, they’ll give you lines. If you are given 10,000 lines, it’s game over. Luckily, you can frame other students for many of your misdeeds by having them be closer to the teacher at the time.
