Your Easy to Follow Guide: How to cut peel and stick tile
Let customers speak for us
from 217 reviewsNot difficult to cute and super easy to put on wall
These are the real deal!!! The adhesive is very sticky and it’s not going anywhere!!!
The tiles itself are great quality. They are easy to cut if you need to adjust a few pieces. This all around exceeded my expectations for stick and peel backsplash.
Easy to install and it looks amazing. The slightest of negatives the liner for the adhesive is tough to get off. We got creative and used a precision knife to stick in at an angle and then pull upoff. Highly recommend.
I’m excited to use these peel and stick panels. The texture is really nice and the grain looks like the “real thing”! The pieces are surprisingly lightweight, which could be really nice is certain applications. The other really great thing is that the pieces have suggested notches which divides the piece into three equal parts. This will allow for easy lining up for a staggered application.
A really cool product.
I have tried many peel & stick tiles over time for various projects, and I have to say, these are by far the NICEST ones I've ever seen, and far more realistic. The tiles come in a 12x12 square but the actual tiles themselves are separate pieces of plastic (or whatever material they're made of). So the grout lines are real, actual crevices as opposed to what you usually see with peel & stick tile -- which is a solid sheet with the "grout lines" painted a different color, or maybe slightly debossed to create the illusion of the crevices between tiles. Also, the tiles have a good weight to them and are super glossy, so they definitely don't look like just cheap lightweight pieces of plastic film. They are easy to work with and to install. Adhesion is strong and seems like it will last. I have used mine in an area where there is no water or heat, so I can't speak to how well they will hold up against those elements. Overall I am THRILLED with these.
The back of our kitchen counter island was plain and I always hated the way it looked. I looked around and after reading tons of reviews, decided to give these a try. They were perfect! Fairly easy to install, and they stick VERY well. The tile sheets are sturdy and feel like tile. I would definitely recommend!
After two former disappointing attempts at peel-and-stick tiles, I tried these COLAMO white subway tiles and - HALLELUJAH -- they look great! Third time's a charm, I guess. These are much thicker and, importantly, they have a glossy reflective shine that really makes them look authentic. (The others I tried had a matte vinyl finish that screamed fake.) I did have to buy two more sets of these, however, to finish the job along the wall shown in pic. And the thicker tiles also means they're much more challenging to cut. Luckily, I had the proper tools to make the job go a little easier: An Exacto knife to score the tiles, and heavy-duty scissors for cutting. (Regular scissors won't cut it, so to speak.) The adhesion is very good but make sure the peel-off paper is completely peeled off. (The paper tends to rip at the corners and remain attached.) Also, make sure walls are clean before applying -- and take your time with the entire process.
The bottom line is these tiles are a bit more pricey than some, and more challenging to cut through and apply -- so, are they worth it? YES!!! The end result is a beautiful shiny backsplash that looks amazingly like the real thing. Highly recommend!
I've been obsessively searching and researching for renter friendly peel-and-stick backsplash for my rental apartment for months. I finally found this product after a long rabbit hole and it's perfect. It's a lot more thick, stiff, and high-quality than most of the peel-and-stick out there. This is more like a hard plastic-like material, each rectangle is a separate "brick" but connected with one piece of sticky backing (which has a slightly foamed so you can really pressed it on). It makes a nice clack sound when I tap it with my finger nails!
But let me tell you, making thosee cuts around the outlets was the worst. I only had a bunch of utility knives/box cutters and I tried to make a fast template to fit it around the outlet. It was my first time doing this and I really sucked at it. I recommend watching some YouTube tutorials on how to easily do difficult cuts like this. Luckily I managed it and disguised my mistake with some caulking. Straight across cuts are MUCH easier cause you can score the tile, then press firmly to snap it.
Regardless, I love this product so much! I want to try another style for my bathroom!
Though... I have not tried to peel it off... 🙃
ordered these to use as a backsplash in the kitchen, but upon arrival quickly decided these are heavy duty enough to use in the bathroom instead. which is really cool, because i was having a hard time finding the right materials to put in there. these are real tile! and the illusion of dimension is pretty neat. the tones are neutral and easy on the eyes, though i am also interested in the "moon" colored one, i got the earthy tones. it will accent my other colors nicely without being too cool, they have a natural warmth. the adhesion is pretty strong, it almost has to be to stand up against the weight of each piece. because these are real tiles, they are much heavier than originally expected and i'm loving every bit of them. these seem to be able to withstand moisture in a way that makes me think they will hold up better in steam, such as the shower will give off. super pleased with snagging these and will try to give update pics of the finished project
Being from the construction industry, I was very hesitant to try peel and stick during the remodel, but the finish product speaks for itself. I used a vinyl floor cutter and coping saw for the install, but a knife does just as well in a pinch. Very adhesive. I will say I did a thorough prep, but you going to want to make sure it's placed properly before pressing in place, because it can be a real pain to get off. Would definitely buy again.
I got these for a project table that I'm working on, and they appear easy to use as they are peel and stick. They are really pretty and vibrant. They come packaged well so they arrived safely.
I needed a backsplash above my stove, since we removed the old undercabinet microwave and there was a blank wall. These looked promising and I loved the look, especially the wood grain texture.
I prepped the area with a board, to have a smooth backing (and raise it up to be more flush with the existing tile below), then painted it with Kilz specifically for mold and moisture. This made for a really good surface to adhere the planks to. I used a level to apply my first row and was able to build up from there. I used a straight edge and box cutter to score the front and back three times each and they broke apart easily. I wasn't able to re-position these once I placed them, they were definitely stuck in place, so be sure you have it where you want it before pressing down. After looking at different placements, these look better in a staggered/random placement as opposed to subway-tile-style or matched. Just my two cents, but if you're debating it, try random for a more realistic wood look unless you want them to look like tiles. You will also have less waste.
Not sure why anyone would think these are actually made out of wood, the description says wood-like (maybe that was added later) but in any event, these are similar to engineered wood flooring.
Overall, I'm really happy with it and can't wait to add the new hood vent and custom shelf below!
These tiles are thick and sturdy. Initially, I got these to refurbish a tabletop, but I got nervous about trimming them and ruining them. So I opted for a wall feature. The colors are deep, and the matte finish adds warmth. I'm incredibly happy. The thick tiles also enhances the audio in our screening room. The colors match our existing decor perfectly!
Used these tiles for a backsplash in my kitchen. These are like the Cadillac of peel and stick tiles.. these tiles are solid, not flimsy like some peel and stick. They’re not super easy to cut.. but I scored them with a blade first and that worked well. They also stick really well. If you want a nice peel and stick that doesn’t feel cheap.. buy these!!
I really like the look of this backsplash. Transformed my kitchen fast and easy. I paired it with another product to break it up a bit and add my own touch.
Easy to cut, and work with. Would buy it again and would recommend to friends.
