“I received the Model 5005 Gen 2 Sharpener yesterday and all is good. Within about 45 minutes of opening the box, I put a great edge on three blades used in my 50” Gravely. I used my DeWalt with a 60-grit flap disc. I went back and forth between the 5005 Sharpener and an Oregon Precision Blade Balancer to dial in the balance. The mower felt smoother than ever and the blades cut fantastic! This was money well spent. I was happy to spend my money with the persons who designed this, rather than with those selling the knockoffs.

“Having worked half of my professional life with closely machined parts/assemblies/machinery I am impressed by the detail that I observe in your product. Even the mounting bracket seems to have been carefully considered as you cannot mount it a wrong way as it is perfectly symmetrical, holes exactly spaced the same. The holes even look as though they were EDM machined. No burrs or sharp edges throughout. Using simple socket flat head screws to secure the blades in place is simplicity at its best. The entire assembly seems to be perfectly presented from beginning to end. I must admit sight unseen I was a little skeptical about the price, but now, after inspection of the product quality and use, I don’t know how you can sell it for your asking price and still turn a profit. It seems whatever you are doing you’re doing it right.
I don’t know if I’ve ever felt as though my money was so well spent. I hope your other customers can appreciate the quality product that you’ve provided. Thanks again for all your help and your first class customer service.

“Unboxed, assembled, mounted my model 5002. Got to work on three sets of mower blades I was about to junk out. In just a little while, I got the angle back on the blades and they are ready to go for at least a couple more rounds. I found out that my grinding freehand had lost the correct angle on the blades. (Easy to do).

The folks at All American Sharpener have got a good tool that is simple, effective, that even a shade tree sharpener like myself can look like a pro. Tool was shipped without delay and was able to track it all the way to Louisiana.

“I am a retired Tool & Die Maker and for decades I have sharpened stuff by hand - axes, knives, scissors, drill bits and mower blades. It isn’t boasting to say I do them all pretty well.

But the new Model 5005 sharpener I just bought from you is much faster, much easier to use and far more accurate than my best hand workmanship. The sharpener is well designed and obviously has quality materials and workmanship. Setup for the first time took only a few minutes and I tried it out on a heavily worn set of high-lift mulching blades that were ready for scrapping. It took about 30 minutes to remove enough stock to restore the edge - I had to be careful not to “burn” the edge. But now they’re ready to start another season of mowing.

Pro tip: I take equal # of strokes on each end to ensure equal stock removal and balance.

An excellent tool that is worth every penny.”

“I received the 5005 and when I opened the box I took a real good look at it and let me say you people are craftsmen and have produced a very high end tool. I had my bench already and mounted it for a test run and that’s when I knew I made the right choice and this was exactly what I was looking for. I always would do my blades by hand with a file and got to be pretty good at it but it wouldn’t be a perfect 30 degrees because I have a gauge that I check my angles when I grind my chisels on my bench grinder and I always was a little shallow. I only had to make a couple of passes and when I checked with my gauge they were bang on 30 and when I checked balance on my cone that was it balanced.
