What began with less than an acre of land, six historic circus wagons plus a lot of grit, determination, and passion, has now become an internationally recognized and respected institution encompassing 64 acres, 30 permanent structures, seven winter quarters buildings along Water Street, plus the Ringling Bros. Circus Train shed complex, and over 260 spectacular wagons. Circus World truly is “Wisconsin’s National Treasure!”

1999-2008
The early 2000s at Circus World saw many changes taking place. One of the most significant marked the end of an era with the final full-scale Milwaukee Great Circus Parade and Train in 2003. Luckily, circus fans were still able to see the wagons with Baraboo parades in 2004 and 2005. Some things stayed the same, such as significant restorations taking place on the world-class wagon collection and performances featuring amazing circus acts. I sure do miss the circus train and parade in Milwaukee!
I was fortunate to see one of the amazingly wonderful Milwaukee Great Circus Parades. I loved it. I miss not having an opportunity to see again. I’m sad so many never will.
