ILLINOIS GRASS-FED BEEF
AND OTHER PASTURE PRODUCED MEATS
Natural Environment enhancement
Our daily moves of livestock to fresh & adequately rested pasture, increases the microorganism activity and diversity in the soil. This increase processes more of the organic matter provided by the livestock and turns it into new and healthier soil. pastures become more productive, more resilient to drought, floods, & pests, and thereby, provide an abundance for ecologically diverse wildlife to thrive.
Animals expressing Instinctive Behaviors
This is all about letting the animals do what they are good at. For Cows it’s eating grass. Pigs?—rootin’ & wallerin’. Chickens?—peckin’ & scratchin’. We see these traits and think, “what role do these behaviors play in the wild and how can we use them to work for us in regenerating the land?” Through that process our animals live happier, healthier lives, and provide us with the most nutritious meat possible.
Enriched Health from Nutrient Dense Food
Much research has come out recently proving that pasture produced meats, raised by mimicking nature, provide a healthier, more nutritious meal. Pastured chicken meat & eggs report more Antioxidants, Iron, Vitamin D, & Omega-3(with lower 6:3 ratio). Grass finished beef has up to 50% more Omega-3, with increased antioxidants as well. Pastured Pork reports the same with up to 74% more of specific antioxidants.
